The students did a great job singing at the assembly last Friday. They were all very excited to sing the Jolly Phonics songs S, A, T, I, P. They all did a great job. Well done early years! We have started our new unit of inquiry and this week we will continue reading: The Three Little Pigs. We will be discussing and identifying where the story takes place: the sequence of events and the main characters in the story. If you have the book at home, please read it to your child and ask the key questions: What is the title of this story? What characters are in this story? What happens first/at the beginning/end? What happens next? What does the wolf do? What do the Little Pigs do? What happens to the wolf? In maths we are learning about measurement, and comparing height and length. The sound of the week is N. On Tuesday we are going on a field trip on the train to the airport. The students are very excited and looking forward to this trip. Please mark you calendar for Wednesday, 6 th December for report card conferences. The students do not have school that day but they are expected to attend their conference with their parents. I will send out conference appointments forms next week. There will be no school on Thursday the 30th of November and Friday December 1st. It is the Eid al Mawlid holiday. Have a wonderful week! Regards, Mrs Achaoui Ms Boudrika.
