Welcome to ISM for a new year of French class! My name is Laetitia Lopez and I will be the French as a Foreign Language teacher for some students this year. I originally come from Grenoble, in France and I have been living in Morocco for eight years. It’s a real pleasure for me to share my culture and language and to get to know your children. During this year, I will help students to become active learners in French. Indeed, I do believe that the teacher is only a learning facilitator and that students are the real driving force of it. Regarding homework, I will do my best to make it as little as possible. When I give homework it should be done on a regular basis in order to support the learning process. As parents, you are more than welcome to help your children with their work at home, whenever they ask for help. However, please do not complete the homework for them. My classroom is designed to be a place for oral and written communication. I hope to open the students’ eyes to Morocco and our world. My classroom is also a place for human relations and interpersonal exchanges. These occur between the teacher and the students, between the students themselves and also between the teacher and the families. So, as parents, please do not hesitate to ask me questions about the curriculum or about your children. I will always be happy to communicate with you. This may it be by email (firstname.lastname@example.org), or at school. Please ask for appointment if you have specific questions.
