Year 7 - 9 PSHE
The WIKI is nearing completion, and the group working skills that pupils have been developing through this project have shown through. They have learnt about the need for leadership, and organistion. They have been developing their skills in spreading the work load to ensure that everyone is involved. These are skills that they will continue to make progress in.
This week will give an opportunity for class discussion and review of the advice currently posted on the WIKI. This will allow further editinig to improve the WIKI before it is released to parents.
Work continues on the class WIKI to help provide parents on how to advise their children about e-safety.
In this ever increasingly interconnected world we are looking at e-safety. We have worked our way through a site that gives advice to parents on helping their children navigate the jungle of the world wide web. The pupils are now putting together their own WIKI. This will allow them to share what they think is apppropriate advice that pupils their age need. This will be worked on over the next few weeks to be ready before the end of term, and will be shared with you then.
This week we have looked at the childrens' version of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We have considered what value they have for us individually, and also discussed reasons for why they have not yet been adopted and put into law by all nations.
We are currently looking at relationships. This includes what the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states as well as the responsibilities that we have to enjoy these freedoms.
In PSHE we will be looking at relationships, how they form, how to keep them and what happens when things go wrong. The first lesson looks at changing friendships as a new school year starts
