Welcome to Year 3/4! I am pleased to welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year at ISM!
My name is Jennifer Kadiri. I am originally from Oklahoma in the U.S. but I have called Morocco my home since 2003. I attended the University of Oklahoma where I studied French and Classical history. I then received my teaching certification from The College of New Jersey. Over the past 14 years I have taught a range of students from 3 to 10 years old. I am very excited to be teaching Year 3/4 this year. My two children attend school here at ISM; Adam is in Year 5 and Shemsy is in Year 2. We are all excited to start off this new school year!
I am looking forward to having your child as a student this year. Year 3/4 is such a fun year with so much wonderful learning to celebrate! In order to have a great year, my first goal is to create a community of learners in my classroom. I am committed to crafting a classroom environment where your child is a valued, trusted and integral part of our community. In order to accomplish this, I have planned a variety of activities to emphasize and reinforce this goal.
Parents and family members are the driving force in their student’s life. I encourage you to show your concern by asking your child about the school day and discussing the things they have done. Your child will have a communication folder that will be brought home each day. Please check it to see if there is any important information there or activities to be completed. Please visit our classroom Weebly site (http://ismcasablanca.weebly.com/year-3-4) regularly for information about your what we are learning each week, our literacy and maths programs, and our units of inquiry.
Our weekly schedule is posted on our Weebly site. Beginning next Monday, Year 3/4 will have PSPE (Personal, Social, Physical Education) each Monday and Wednesday; they should wear their sports uniform on these days.
The best way to contact me is via email at email@example.com. Please reply to this mail and let me know at which email addresses your family would like to receive class emails. Do not hesitate to come to me with questions or concerns about your child. Their happiness, learning and well-being are my priorities. Clear and open communication is so important for a strong school-home connection.
I look forward to a fabulous year with your amazing child!
